POLIO Day:

For eradication of Polio, India has undertaken nation wide Polio vaccination programme to cover all children less than three years of age. On 18th January massive vaccination program took place all over the places. Volunteers of our Mahila Mandal have provided support for the implementation of the pulse Polio immunisation program at our ward area. As the problem was focusing on Polio Vaccine the proper coming of giving this vaccine to a baby and also about its benefits were explained to families but our volunteers. Many of them were ignorant about vaccinations, which are usually given free of cost.

Women's Day

Womens Day was celebrated in CDP Office where nearly 40 SHGs of prateeksha NGO associated with ICDS SHGs and a rally conducted in nuapada head quarter started from collectorate. The function was innagurated by Collector Nuapada. Subcollector attended the programme as guest of honour and told several topics about women empowerment. In this function Best SHG has been awarded Prateeksha s SHG Aarti mahila Mandal of Sadhu pandripani for making of 4 Lakhs Bricks. The quality of preparation and the financial transaction has been honoured to award.

Breast Feeding week

Breast Feeding week has been celebrated in Nuapada Block training hall with the Medical team such as CDMO, ADMO, DSWO, and DIPRO Nuapada. CDMO participated as guest to innagurate the function. Several Women self help group from Prateeksha and other NGOs participated in the programme. The guest taught different advantage of Breast feeding and ensured all mothers to spread the news to rest of the people in their respective locations.
